12 fabric giveaways
made me think about 12 quilt-aways.
So, this week I gave away two quilts.
Here's the one that Walter liked best.
(Given to a very kind woman
with an always friendly face and who was
full of encouraging comments
as I started teaching on a more regular basis.)
The week was busy with
a farewell dinner to our exchange student,
an 8th grade band concert,
and a high school graduation.
I finally took a quick break
and treated my self to a visit to
the LaConnor Quilt Museum.
Denise Oymama Miller (and partner Nancy Ryan)
have the upstairs exhibit
(no photos allowed)
and on the second floor
these three caught me eye...
I left thinking about
getting into my scraps
which led to inspiration
for this week's giveaway.
First things first...
this week's winner is...
(drum roll please)
Karen!
Hooray!
And now for our new giveaway...
here's some of my Kaffe collection...
LOVE Kaffe!
(and Brandon!)
Sew...
A one gallon bag of yummy yummy Kaffe scraps!
As I hope for a few minutes to sew this week,

Bon chance!
I hope to complete a t shirt quilt for my niece, finish the binding on a baby quilt and do the quilting on another quilt. I'm retired and confined to the house for the next two weeks because of illness so have nothing to do but sew, read and peruse the internet. I hope to get a lot accomplished. I'm also hoping that this is the week my niece gets engaged. She doesn't know it but her boyfriend has been in contact with me about the perfect ring as I know her style and likes. Rina
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's an industrious list Rina! And I hope your neice doesn't read this post! :) Big hug to you as you heal!!!

ReplyDeleteI went in to aunt marys, Heather was there so she helped me look for what I call Stephanie type fabric. It's funny but everyone knew what I was looking for. But I still need more of the designs you collect. Hope I win so I can make a full size top.
ReplyDeleteI plan to sew fabric books and bibs for my grandson this week!

I've got 3 quilt projects started and at different stages... So what do I go ahead and do ? Started another!! Lol Those are beautiful quilts you featured!
ReplyDeleteI started a tote bag to give to my MIL for her birthday this week. Hope/need to get that finished! Then it's on to playing with some scraps for a scrappy quilt I have about half pieced. Love the quilt you gifted! I think it's the best feeling to give someone a quilt out of the blue.
ReplyDeleteI love Kaffe Fassett too beautiful, vivid colours and amazing designs!!! I am following you via email and Bloglovin!! Thanks for your generosity!!!
ReplyDeleteHoping to finish machine quilting a lap quilt I started over two years ago in North Carolina and I am now in Montana! Then a couple of flannel lap quilts to a friend of my youngest daughter who's house was flooded and has two small kids. Those quilts will be tied and I have one I made this way 25 years ago and is still being used by my daughter.
ReplyDeleteThis week I am hoping for lots of sewing time. Though I have much gratitude with my time with friends and family as well. I love Kaffe material designs too!

ReplyDeleteI'd like to make some progress on new pillowcases. But mostly, we are hoping for rain here after a month of nothing but sun.

ReplyDeleteOh love Kaffee and Brandon--merci pour la chance!! hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteLove Kaffe, so I'm going to try again. I'm hoping for some peace & quiet this week though. The last weekend of May we organized a trip for 60 friends/family and my parents, brother, granny, hubby's sister with her family & kids and another friend decided to stay around our house. So, instead of 4, I suddenly had 14 people around for the weekend. Plus the organisation, which was kinda stressful... Right now I start to get some energy again, I was kinda drained. Literally. Maybe I'll even feel like sewing again this weekend and will actually find some time for it..! I hope so!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping my son stays safe as he travels the PCT by himself this week.
