I spontaneously decided
to stop wishing
and just do it...
I took my cute self
down to the Road to California Quilt Show!
First thing I saw when I entered
was an exhibit of quilts
made using Laura Heine's patterns.
Then I got lost
in the wonderfully colorful
creativity that was...
Best in show,
that everyone was talking about,
looked so real you felt you could grab a pillow!
(Lots of paint...
hmmm)
More of what mere mortals made...
My favorites...
Possibly the ugliest thing seen...
Funniest things seen...
And,
of course,
LOTS of new lusciousness seen
(and rescued).
Yummiest thing tasted...
Best feeling had...
in the glorious sunshine
and gentle So Cal air
after a wonderful adventure!
Which quilt was your favorite?
No way could I decide a winner, but I am drawn to the mariners compass with the shadowing effect. How many entries were there and how many days did it take to see everything
ReplyDeleteHi! I flew out on the &:#) am flight on Sat. and flew back on the 5:30 flight on Sunday. That was enough time for sure (well, not enough time for all the sunshine I wanted). There were not a lot of quilts. I would say less than the QA show in Monroe. BUT there were a lot of vendors. I was there about 5 hours on Sat. and maybe 1 1/2 on Sunday revisiting favorite quilts and shopping a bit more.
DeleteWow! Thanks for showing all of these. No way could I pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip with us Beautiful Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the great photos of quilts, etc. I need to get my 'cute self' there one day too :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
