Halloween Houses on Halloween!
A few years ago, in the throws of my new found love for Freddy Moran, I made a house quilt for several holidays as a way to use some of the myriad of embellishments (enough for more Halloween quilts than I will ever make!) I had been collecting.
I had sew much fun creating different spookified houses.
It's special because hanging it up in the front hall has become part of our family's Halloween tradition. As my boys get older and wallow in their teen years, the outside decorating and trick-or-treating enthusiasm wanes, but happily the presence of this quilt remains as acceptably "cool".
I am looking forward to taking some time to visit the other quilts posted for this Blogger Quilt Festival. What a TREAT on this fun day!
Oh how AWESOME is this - I love all the embellishments, the skeleton peeking out, this is wonderful!!! What a great quilt to share, and perfect timing!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific quilt, I love the doors and windows! Funny about your sons, I thought my kids were too old to want me to still decorate (high school and college) but they were disappointed when I said I wasn't going to and so I ended up doing it anyway.
