I set a flexible goal of making one "little" ( 8 1/2 x 11) each week this year.
So far, so good.
I have 24 "littles"
I am always amazed that when I let go
and don't control the process
the "little" that wants to be created
is.
Sometimes they have a theme that keeps me focused on my intentions.
Here I am walking with my ruby red slippers on a path of peace to a place of love.
zippity doo da
Sometimes I just sew scraps together and see what happens.
This week...
it all started when this dusty cutter called to me from a high shelf.
"play with me"
After some inspiration during my Friday sew-in with Judy,
a happy new "little" was born.
"ahhhh"
But, as it sat on my design wall, I still felt like it wasn't finished.
It bothered me that I got carried away with the fun flowers.
More negative space was needed.
This pile of yumminess started calling.
"play with US!"
Now I'm layering and stitching each home made ricrac down without too much thought.
I think this "little" needs to grow!
My plan is to add an orange frame all around.
Wait...
I think I hear this pile of yumminess calling...
"what about US?"
"play with US too!!!"
I hope to post the finished "liitle" "BIG" by the end of this week.
Thanks for stopping by!
I am hooking up with http://freshlypieced.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeletefun, fun, fun!! loved watching your wondrous big little grow!
ReplyDeleteWhen your done; I think you should hang them on a clothes line some where and have a one woman show. That would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers! And what a fun cutter.
