SEW MUCH FUN PLAYING!

Fall has arrived in the Great Northwest!
Here's the last hurrah
before the storms...

How do I know it's going to be a better than good day?
When I pass by a bright yellow barn with purple polka dots!

Today I sewed with my 2nd Saturday group of lovely ladies
up at Calico Creations in Mount Vernon.
I am working on a
what-to-teach-for-my-next-class
idea
(YES!!)
How about...
one block...

many possibilities...

SEW MUCH FUN JUST PLAYING!

Another chance to play happened with this next quilt.

Imagine...

ladies and frogs living in the same apartment building!

The ladies and frogs are framed in "X" and "O" fabric creating a big O.
And there are
Xs
to help create a support beam for the skyscraper apartment building. (get it? O = hug, X = kiss)

And the whole building is outlined in "lip" fabric!
(get it? You need your lips to kiss!)

Why don't the ladies kiss the frog...
and get a prince?

THAT is a good question!
hee-hee

Sticking with the "lady" theme...
I fussy cut tons of my groovy fabric stash
focusing on all that encompasses my "domestic diva" life.

A small sampling of what I found...
mops, brooms, dental appointments, baseball games, bowling tournaments, various instrument lessons, dogs,
fish, lizards, attempts to prettify with lipstick, nail polish, and stylish shoes with matching bags. Plus dancing and romancing the "King" of the house while dealing with three boys, TOILETS, tooth fairy and Santa duty!

With the rains
even more time
for creative sewing
will come.
Hurrah!

Do you think the lady should
take a chance
and
kiss the frog?

Tell me your thoughts
and youngest son will pick a random comment
next Saturday
to win
a brown bag
stuff fulled
of random fat quarters
(guaranteed fun to play with!!!)

  1. Absolutely not---you have to keep the sexual tension between the two going, other wise you
might end up with a pond full of tadpoles.

  3. Yes! Frogs are slimy and jumpy but if they are still long enough, things could turn out better than you expect!

  6. love love that Domestic Diva quilt. looking at the XO apartments again, and at your work in Freddy's class, I'm wondering if that plain background doesn't need a bunch of flowers or planes or ufos or something FUN...
