A hike to the castle, a trip deep underground to see a salt mine, a visit way up high to Hitler's Eagle's Nest, a great peaceful sleep in the Mirabel monastery. Salzburg was lovely.
Thanks for posting! A beautiful photo essay and reminder that there are just some things we inherit from our ancestors...sight unseen. The mountains have been calling my name, the tug so strong it nearly brings me to tears. The queen anne's lace [weeds to some] I gather and spread their seeds throughout my flowerbeds every fall. My grandfathers family immigrated from Salzburg in the 1700's, so no, we never met...but my oh my these photos explain so much! There's so much more to these photos of yours tugging at my heart strings...again thanks for sharing!
