GIVEAWAY #3!

So sorry I am late with the winner..
I finally made the leap and got a smart phone
AND
I think it must be broken
because the map ap kept sending me to quilt shops!
:)

Congrats to comment #21, Margaret!

This week...
I was able to finish my Matrimony!

And settle an argument once and for all...

My boys often give me a hard time...
"you have enough quilts to reach the ceiling!"

Well...
do I?

Not quite to the top of the 9ft ceiling...
but pretty darn close!

Poor Fred!
(no part of Fred was hurt in this topple.)

The winner of last week's sweet fat eigth pack is
 Margaret #21!
Hooray!

This week's giveaway is
about two yards of
GREEN!

Son #3 will be home next Saturday (!)
 for the long holiday weekend
and has kindly agreed to randomly pick the winner.

So...
since green is nature...

1. leave a comment sharing
where your all time favorite nature place is.
2. become a follower
3. get a friend to follow

Good luck!

  1. I took a few minutes to check out the photos on your blogs right hand... Very interesting and fun!!! My all time favourite place in nature is at Pukaskwa National Park (only an hour drive from our home). The scenery is breathtaking and exceptional for photography!! This summer we will be camp hosts for a week and camp in our tents!!! I'm really looking forward to it!

  10. My favorite Nature place would have to be Alaska, where we went 10 years ago on our 50th. anniversary. The wildlife, the mammals, the glaciers, the Northern Lights, and countless other things, all combined to make this trip very memorable. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. lv2bquilting2@comcast.net

  20. My all time favorite nature spot probably no longer exists. When I was a kid, we used to go exploring around the outside of town and discovered a series of small springs that had developed a series of potholes (don't know what else to call them -- a couple feet deep, 3-4 feet across). There wasn't a lot of water -- mainly seepage, but you could see where water occasionally flowed from pothole to pothole. We called it Lost Creek and were absolutely convinced we were the first people ever to find it, even though it was on a stretch of land between the last street on the edge of town and the railroad track that went right by the town. We explored the flora and fauna in great detail and spent countless hours studying our major discovery.

  21. It's hard to pick just one favorite nature place as we have been to many lovely places. A few good ones -- Waipio Valley in Hawaii; Yellowstone National Park; Arches & Bryce Canyon National Parks in Utah; and Cascades Recreation Area in Jefferson National Forest outside Blacksburg, Va
