My boys often give me a hard time...

Not quite to the top of the 9ft ceiling...
but pretty darn close!
Poor Fred!

My all time favourite place in nature is at Pukaskwa National Park (only an hour drive from our home). The scenery is breathtaking and exceptional for photography!! This summer we will be camp hosts for a week and camp in our tents!!! I'm really looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, glad you like the side photos. A fun collection of what jumps out at me as I am driving here and there. Will you sew while you camp? :)

Quilt number? More than 50 at my house. I have probably made more than 125 in the 16 years I have been quilting.

The wildlife, the mammals, the glaciers, the Northern Lights, and countless other things, all combined to make this trip very memorable. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. lv2bquilting2@comcast.net

ReplyDeleteI'll need to check out Camp Sherman the next time I go to Sisters!
DeleteMy all time favorite nature spot probably no longer exists. When I was a kid, we used to go exploring around the outside of town and discovered a series of small springs that had developed a series of potholes (don't know what else to call them -- a couple feet deep, 3-4 feet across). There wasn't a lot of water -- mainly seepage, but you could see where water occasionally flowed from pothole to pothole. We called it Lost Creek and were absolutely convinced we were the first people ever to find it, even though it was on a stretch of land between the last street on the edge of town and the railroad track that went right by the town. We explored the flora and fauna in great detail and spent countless hours studying our major discovery.
ReplyDelete:) Thanks for sharing. Great story!
DeleteIt's hard to pick just one favorite nature place as we have been to many lovely places. A few good ones -- Waipio Valley in Hawaii; Yellowstone National Park; Arches & Bryce Canyon National Parks in Utah; and Cascades Recreation Area in Jefferson National Forest outside Blacksburg, Va
