GIVEAWAY!!!

FUN! FUN! FUN!
Today begins the great GIVEAWAY DAY over at 

This is my first time participating and I can't wait to visit this wonderful blog to see all the other yummies that creative gals are giving away!

Here's my (mostly supplies) giveaway:

1 yard of Robert Kaufman's "Let it Snow" designed by Nancy Wolff. 
(I really miss her fabric. It was always sooo cute!)


The last piece of fabric is 1/2 of my all time favorite - unfortunately, I don't know who made it.


PLUS this cute little container of embellishments!


Ribbon, trim, beads, buttons, and even some bells!


Then, all these supplies come in a reversible fabric bowl I made.
One side is Christmas themed...

OK....How to win...

1. Anyone who leaves a comment can win my giveaway including people who do not live in the US!
2. My middle son will randomly pick a number based on how many comments I get.

I sew in a corner of my bedroom, right next to the dresser that has a TV on it. When not subbing, my most favorite time to sew is at 10:00 am while the View is on TV. The Ellen Show used to come on right after the View and those were my two happiest hours for sewing, but now it's just the View that I really like and then I usually switch to a news channel for a second hour before reality calls. So, I sew, smile, get my creative juices flowing, tap into my mojo, satisfy my authentic self, AND listen to the gals at the View.

    I always watch a movie or a tv show on the tube. Sometimes I sew while my man is playing a video game so I'm not bored to tears watching him haha!

    I either listen to music or have a movie I know well playing in the background. Sometimes I just enjoy the silence of the quiet house when all of the kids are in bed. Thanks for offering this giveaway!

    So far I procrastinate - I haven't been brave enough to start yet but it's my NY resolution to make both my 2 year olds a quilt next year :)

    When I am dressmaking/crafting I just lock myself away and switch off... my quiet time. Unless I'm in class in which case I take the opportunity to waffle on to other sewing enthusiasts!

    If I'm hand stitching binding, I watch TV. If I'm sewing at the machine I sometimes listen to music or when I sew with a friend we do lots of talking, but not so much sewing!

    I am not a quilter (yet) - I've only been sewing for a few months. I do tend to put off all other stimuli though and just listen to my little Elna sing while she's working. The occasional colourful word does come into the mix though - today she broke 4 needles. Not a good zipper day at all - so we're having some 'seperate space' time. The relationships we need to form with our wesing hardware :)

    I sew in my "studio" which is a corner of my master bedroom which my hubs has graciously given up for me :) I do most of my sewing at night, once my daughters have gone to bed. But sewing during the day while watching The View & Ellen sounds wonderful! :)

    When I am sewing I am generally focussed on what my children are doing, whether they are touching things they shouldn't be, using my good scissors to cut paper and messing with my machine.
    Amazing I get any sewing done really and the stitches are straight too!!

    In my room, I prefer quiet or classical music, while I am concentrating..but I can have any thing from a movie to instructional dvds for company or clues to help me improve my skills. I love to sit and hand stitch while sitting with my DH in the living room and watch a program together, they can be some of our most pleasant times together.

    I drink tea because it's 4:45 in the morning...I get up before the kids so I have some "me" time. Sometimes it's very short because my kids are light sleepers...

    I sew in the evenings once my kids are in bed. I sew in the Living room, at the dinner table watching all the soaps (I am a big Eastenders fan) and drinking tea.

    I listen to music when I sew. Sometimes when I am cutting I watch TV with my husband. I love those unique Christmas fabrics!

    I like to sew alone with my thoughts. I began quilting a year ago, shortly after my youngest son passed away. I needed something to do to keep my hands and mind busy. I also wanted to create something in his memory. So I created DanNy Boy Quilts. He was an amazing artist and I hope I show some of his talents in my quilts. I stitch a Hug into the corner of every quilt I make because he gave the most amazing hugs.

    I actually don't do much of anything while I sew other than shoo the cats off the sewing machine table. They are just thrilled by the spool going around and around..

    I usually listen to music while I'm piecing, and catch up on movies and TV shows while I'm quilting (I quilt everything by hand, so it takes a while).

    Creeping in under the wire... I watch movies I've seen a zillion times, so I don't really pay attention. High Society, Pride and Prejudice, White Christmas, etc.
